Abstract
Various metal oxides loaded onγ-Al_2O_3 supports were prepared and used for the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate(DMC) from ethylene carbonate(EC ) and methanol(ME ).The result showed that K_2O/γ-Al_2O_3 was the best for the reaction. The load capacity, catalyst dosage, molar ratio of ME to EC were studied.Effects of reaction temperature, reaction time and other factors were investigated. The highest yield of DMC was 52.0%under the optimum conditions:the catalyst was K_2O/γ-Al_2O_3,the molar ratio of ME to EC was 5,the reaction temperature was 65℃,and the reaction time was 3 h.
