Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of fast infusing hydroxyethyl starch(HES)130/0.4 combined with low dose ephedrine to prevent hypotension, nausea and vomiting during combined spinal-epidural anesthesia(CSEA) in caesarean section. Methods 90 parturients of CSEA were randomly assigned into three groups with 30 cases each. The patients in group A were only infused with sodium lactate Ringer's solution during caesarean section while those in group B only with HES130/0.4.The patients in group C were infused with HES130/0.4 combined with low dose ephedrine during caesarean section.Blood pressure(BP),heart rate(HR) and side effects were recorded and compared among the three groups 10 min before anesthesia(T0),5 min(T1),10 min(T2),15 min(T3) after anesthesia and after operation(T4).Results In group C,BP and HR were no markedly changed at all time points(P0.05).In groups A and B,BP decreased and was significantly lower than that in group C(P0.01,P0.05) in time points after anesthesia, especially in group A at T1 and T2.HR increased and was significantly higher than that in group C(P0.05).There was no significant difference between group A and group B.Incidence of nausea and vomiting in group C was significantly lower than in group A and group B(P0.01).Conclusion Infusing HES130/0.4 combined with low dose ephedrine can prevent hypotension, nausea and vomiting during CSEA in caesarean section.
