Abstract

In order to evaluate their bio-selection and bioavailability in ecological environment, immobilized Chlorella pyrenoidosa were used for removal of different forms of nitrogen and phosphorus from artificial wastewater. The results indicated that if ammonium, nitrate and nitrite existed in artificial wastewater simultaneously, the ammonium was firstly removed by immobilized Chlorella pyrenoidosa and then followed by nitrate and nitrite, respectively. And their removal rates were 100%、79.2%±0.8% and 61.2%±0.2%,respectively,during 5 days experiments. If orthophosphate and hexametaphosphate exist in wastewater simultaneously, the immobilized Chlorella pyrenoidosa would firstly remove orthophosphate, and then remove hexametaphosphate. The removal rates of orthophosphate and hexametaphosphate were 80.2% and 73.1%,respectively.Therefore,the different forms of nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater could be selectively removed by immobilized Chlorella pyrenoidosa.
