Experience in Making Approach to the Path for developing Socialist Culture with Chinese Characteristics

The path for developing socialist culture with Chinese characteristics that has progressively been formed and developed by several generations of central collective leadership of the CPC on the basis of acquiring an understanding of the feature and law of cultural development is a major theoretical and practical innovation in the development of socialist culture.Our basic experience in this aspect is as follows: forming a guiding theory-the system of socialist theories with Chinese characteristics;forming the basis of common ideology and ethics-the system of socialist core values;making clear the goal and policy for developing socialist culture with Chinese characteristics-the erwei orientation and the shuangbai policy;innovating in the train of thought on developing socialist culture-simultaneously developing cultural programs and the cultural industry;and formulating the cultural development strategy of opening to the outside world—conducting multilevel and wide-ranging cultural exchanges with the outside world.
