Abstract
Surface modification of submicron SiC powders was carried out by carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC),and the effects of the amounts of CMC and pH value on the rheological behavior of concentrated aqueous SiC suspensions were analyzed by sedimentation and viscosity tests, and then the suspensions were slip-casted.The results showed that the viscosity of slurry made of modified SiC powder being improved, while the stability has increased distinctly. The solids percent in volume is up to 60%,meeting the demand of slip-casting.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
