Influence of Thinning on the Carbon Storage of Pinus tabulaeformis Arborescent Stratum

The effect of thinning on Pinus tabulaeformis plantation which had been growing 30 years were studied.Based on the tree class,the experiment on which thinning intensity of Pinus tabulaeformis where weak,moderate,intensive and CK were made.The results indicated that different thinning intensity of Pinus tabulaeformis plantation were different for tree biomass amount and carbon storage.Moderate thinning intensity could evidently advance tree biomass amount and carbon storage.This research will provide the basis for thinning of plantation.
