Evaluate curative effects for treatment of tube-electrocoagulation mini-wounded operation on varicose veins in the lower extremities

Objective: To evaluate curative effect for treatment of tube-electrocoagulation mini-wounded operation on varicose veins in the lower extremities. Methods: To analyse the clinical data of 206 (228 legs) postoperative cases which we treated from 2004 to 2007. Results: In the following up of 4～30 months, dull heaviness relieved completely in 224 legs while 4 legs imcompletely. Skin pigmentation decreased obviously after operation, and 5 cases with skin burn. Thrombophebitis happened in 19 legs. Temporary and regional paresthesia of skin occurrenced in 169 legs. It did not happen ecchymoma and lymph-leakage of incision in all cases. Ulce of skin healed. Conclusions: It is complication slightly that occurrenced paresthesia of skin in temporary and regional for treatment of tube-electrocoagulation on varicose veins in lower extremity. The method is simple and easy to learn. Curative effect is reliable with few bleeding. Postoperative recovery is well.
