Abstract

Effects of shading on photosynthetic characteristic and rutin content of golden buckwheat rhizome were studied under four different light intensity treatments(100% natural lighting as control,85.2%,75.8% and 59.7% natural lighting). The results indicated that the photosynthesis of golden buckwheat rhizome was obviously affected by shading, with light intensity decreasing, leaf chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate, stomatal conduatance and transpiration rate decreased, and intercellular CO2concentration increased, but the photosynthetic biomass productivity decreased. Meanwhile, rutin content of each organ in the plants decreased in shading, the degree of decline increased according to the light intensity increasing. Therefore, golden buckwheat rhizome was sensitive to light intensity, and strong light was beneficial to plant growth and synthetic of rutin content.
