Abstract
By analysing the shortcomings of the frequency smelting in the ore smelting electric arc furnace,the theory of low-frequency electric power,and its application in the ore smelting electric arc furnace are introduced.The principle of production increasing and energy saving,and its economic benefit are analysed.The experimental results show that the technological transformation to low-frequency power-frequency submerged arc furnace is a small investment,quick-impact projects.Its comprehensive utilization of resources,environmental protection,saving energy and reducing consumption are of great significance.
