Abstract
The advantage of scalable vector graphics (SVG) applying in web mapping application is introduced. Based on analyzing the characteristic of SVG, some key technologies of cartography are researched based on SVG; and the detail process of map publicizing and browsing is introduced based on SVG.The method introduced can be referenced in mapping application and other application based on SVG.
