Abstract
Along with the change of hydrological and weather conditions and the impact of human activities, the characteristics of the runoff from the Yangtze River into the sea have been respectively changed in recent years.Runoff change would lead to impact on the aquatic environment in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. In order to find out the characteristics of the runoff change,to provide a scientific basis for ecological protection and resource development in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, this paper analyzed the interannual variation of the runoff at Datong station in the lower reach by using the tendency prediction method. The result shows that the runoff has a small increase in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River during the study duration.
