Abstract
Because of its small size, high efficiency and lightweight, fly-back switching power supply is widely used in a variety of electrical equipment and systems. Flyback transformer that worked in discontinuous current mode had many issues such as poor performance and unstable. This paper provided the concrete method about the design of flyback transformers by adjusting the transformer core model, the primary inductor size, gap size, and other parameters indicator turns, and a design example is given in the paper. Experiment results show that the fly-back transformer is stable and with good performance in discontinuous current mode according to the design method described in this article.
