Abstract

Six species of dog's ectoparasitic ticks were obtained in South China during 1997 to 2000. It consists of Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Rhipicephalus haemaphysaloides, Boophilus microplus, Haemaphysalis longicornis, Haemaphysalis formosensis, and Haemaphysalis hystricis. Rhipicephalus sanguineus is of dominant species parasitized on dogs.
