Modern Meaning of Chinese Traditional Harmonious Ideology

Harmony is one of the Chinese important ancient idealistic concepts. Chinese traditional culture is characterized with harmony. From the point of view that human is the main body of society, traditional harmonious idea includes four parts: the harmony between human and nature, the harmony between human and human, the harmony between human and society, and the self harmony of human. This idea plays an important role in maintaining Chinese ancient social stability and its development. And proper modern explanation and exertion of the idea can be meaningful for today and the future. And it is also important for us to create a harmonious society proposed in the Sixteenth National Congress. The article tries to explain the traditional harmonious idea and modern idea.
