Abstract
Cationic microspheres of polystyrene were prepared through dispersion polymerization in methanol with [2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl] trimethylammonium chloride(DMC) as polymeric stabilizer and AIBN as initiator. The polymerization behavior and effects of varying the concentration of stabilizer, monomer and initiator on particle size and size distribution were studied.By means of SEM,it was shown that monodispersed microspheres of polystyrene with particle size in the range of 0.98~2.78?μm could be obtained.
