Abstract

Zedang ophiolite is located in the eastern segment of Yalung Zangbo ophiolite belt, Tibet. The whole rock Sm-Nd isochron age of basalts in Zedang ophiolite is 175±20 Ma, indicating that the ophiolite was formed in the Middle Jurassic. The initial e_ Nd (t) value of basalt is +7.2, suggesting that the Zedang ophiolite was derived from a strongly depleted mantle and did not suffer from crustal contamination.
