Abstract

Generally people take the value added for surplus value and as a special category of capitalist commodity economy.The author holds the view that the value added and surplus value are two categories different as well as connected.The former,resulted from the relation between the development of social productivity and commodity economy, is a category common to commodity economy in any society,whereas the latter is only a special form of the capitalist economy. The former presents itself as the income of the producers of a small commodity economy and as the profits of enterprises of a socialist economy.As theoretic elucidation of it and its forms of presentation is of great significance to the study of socialist commodity economy.
