Coal and Gas Outbursts Characteristics and Countermeasures Under the Influence of Geological Conditions

Abstract

According to the features of coal and gas outburst in Pingmei No. 8 Coal Mine,the causes of coal and gas outbursts were analyzed,the results showed that the engineering factors were the incentive for coal and gas outburst,and geological conditions including geological structure,gas occurrence and tectonic coal were essential,and geological structure was the major factor to control coal and gas outburst. In combination with the characteristics of high coal seam gas stress,content and complex geological structure,countermeasures including strengthening gas geology study and establishing the early-warning system for coal and gas outburst were proposed.
