Abstract

【Objective】 To explore the function and clinical significance of Menin and cyclin-D1 in parathyroid adenoma.【Methods】 The expression of the Menin protein and cyclin-D1 were determined by immunohistochemistry in 4 cases of normal parathyroid tissue,6 cases of parathyroid proliferation tissue and 17 cases of parathyroid adenoma tissue.【Results】 The expression of Menin protein and cyclin-D1was significantly different between normal parathyroid and parathyroid adenoma(P 0.05),and was not significantly different between normal parathyroid and parathyroid proliferation(P 0.05).【Conclusion】 Firstly, the inactivation of Menin protein would be play an important role in the development of parathyroid tumor;Secondly,over-expression of cyclin-D1 is related to the occurrence of parathyroid tumor.
