Abstract

Grain size and sintering densification behavior of W-30Cu composite powder influenced by high energy milling time were investigated. The result shows that, while the high energy ball milling time was in the range of 16 ~ 33 h,the crystalline size of the composite powder was reduced from 25 nm to 10 nm,and the mechanical alloy phenomenon was happened;while sintered at 1 275 ℃ for 60 m the composite powder milled for 18 h was achieved 100% density.Likewise, the high energy ball milled W-30Cu composite powder has the excellent hot stabilization, while the composite powder was annealed at 950 ℃,the grain size was not coarsen; The hardness of the sintered W-30Cu composite material was higher than the normal. The W-30Cu composite with the grain size about 300 ~ 550 nm can be achieved after sintering at 1 275 ℃ for 30 min.
