Product data model in product data management

Abstract

Product data model is the foundation of information integration in product data management (PDM). This paper presents a method of organizing product data based on product object. Furthermore, product object-based current data, designing data, and manufacturing data are organized within the framework of object-oriented product data model, which is of great influence for the current product design mode.
