Abstract
The formations are very complicated and their drilling rate is slow.An E P to this area was influenced severely resulted from a long drilling cycle and such down-hole accidents as a drilling-kit break.How to increase the drilling rate becomes a difficulty.To choose some available hole intervals to be experimental objects.These experimental intervals were studied by pure air and air foam drilling technologies.It is found that these technologies can shorten a drilling period in complicated intervals,increase a penetration rate a lot,reduce a drilling cost and strengthen an economic benefit.This paper introduces the application of air foam drilling to well.
