Influence of Different Media and Factors on Callus Induction Ratios in Sudan Grass 185

Sudan grass 185 was used to study the factors affecting callus induction ratios from different media and factors in sorghum mature seed culture.The results show that the callus induction rate was higher in MS medium than that in N6 medium.There were considerable differences in induction rate and callus quality among 8 treatments.In MS medium,when the concentration of 2,4-D was 2.0 mg/L and the concentration of KT was 0.1 mg/L,the callus induction rate was higher and it was easier to form embryogenic callus.By contrast,the callus induction rate in N6 medium was the highest when the concentration of 2,4-D and KT were 4.0 mg/L and 0.5 mg/L respectively.
