Abstract

Phytoremediation is considered as the most efficient and prospective approach in removing contaminants in soil, and has developed very quickly in the past years. This paper summarizes the processes of the interaction of plants with heavy metals and, their relevant mechanism and possible impacting factors in details. Finally, the application and perspective of phytoremediation in contaminated environments are presented.
