Observing the Effect of Trabeculectomy with Double Amniotic Membrane Implantation on Glaucoma

Objective:To evaluate the application of trabeculectomy with double amniotic membrane implantation on primary glaucoma.Methods:Double amniotic membrane was underlaid the scleral flap of trabeculectomy in 40 eyes of 35 patients with primary glaucoma,there were 22 eyes with angle closure glaucoma and 18 eyes with open angle glaucoma.Intraocular pressure(IOP),vision field and vision acuity were detected pre-or post-operation.The patients were followed up for 6~18 months.Results:IOP of post-operation was decreased compared with that of pre-operation.There was no significant difference or prograse in vision field and vision acuity between pre-or post-operation,without any special side effect.Conclusion:The results implied that trabeculectomy with double amniotic membrane implantation may play some roles in anti-fibrosis of filtering pathway after surgery and seems a simple,safe and effective procedure of anti-glaucoma operations.
