Abstract
The paper starting with the relationship between land use and ecological civilization construction, explains the significant functions of the land resources development and use,and the problems and challenges arising from them. To achieve the coordination between land-use and ecological civilization construction, the conceptual designing of ecological civilization construction should be strengthened to set up the warning lines of quantity and quality applied in land management; the space control strategy should be implemented to promote the formation of land use patterns that meet the requirements of ecological civilization; the boundaries of urban and rural development should be delineated to encourage the establishment of the synergy of urban and rural development.
