Abstract
This paper reports the extraction and preliminary isolation of the air part of Ajuga nipponensis.It has been found out that the chloroform extract C in these fractions has the strongest antifeeding activity to Pieris ropae.At a concentration of 0.5%,the antifeeding ratio is 78.9%,and median antifeeding concentration(AFC_(50))is 0.121%.In the toxicity tests,it is found that the extract C exhibits very strong inhibitory activity of growing and developing of Pieris rapae and Plutella xylostella.At the concentrations of 0.2% and 0.5%,the effects are 70% and 80%,respectively.And the median effective dose(ED_(50))is 0.335 mg/g insect.Especially,the toxicity of the extract C to two resistant strains of Plutella xylostella shows no evident difference and no mutual resistance with Cypermethrin and Acephate.In preliminary field trials,it is found that there is a certain effect.
