A Study on the Flora of Dajinshan Island in Shanghai, China

Abstract

There are 145 species and varieties,110 genera and 61 families of wild seed plants on Dajinshan Island.The floristic composition is complex and geographical components are various,with a greatly close relations to the flora on Mt. Tianmu,nearly the same latitude with Dajinshan Island, in composition,nature and origin.Moreover,it has some notable local distinguishing features as follows.(1)The littoral flora is rather rich.(2) Eurytopic species grow in number. (3) It is closely related to tropical flora.
