Abstract
Axiomatic design theory is applied to the design of commercial weighing scale. Its design method and steps are presented. The optimization process of the commercial Weighing scale design and the determined main design parameters are given and this scale is analyzed by the use of the axiomatic design method. The hierarchical decomposition process guarantees the reasonable decision in the proper order in the design process. The axiomatic design provides basic principle and guiding framework for the commercial weighing apparatus design development.
