Abstract
Based on the analyses on the deposition, erosion, water level, and river regime in the past 50 years in the Yellow River, the characteristics of alluvial river adjustment due to the changing of incoming water and sediment and river boundary in different periods in the river basin is presented in this paper. In addition, authors point out that the Yellow River faces the serious situation that river channel and flood conveyance capacity have been reducing and water level in flood period has been rising.
