Some Issues on Theoretic Structure of Qi Science in Chinese Medicine

In explorative discussion about some issues in the theoretic structure of qi science in Chinese medicine,the author believes that the highest level of qi in the human body is qi of the whole body, not Yuan-Primary Qi. Antipathogenic Qi is a term for qi in the whole body in opposition to pathogenic qi. The real meanings of Ying Nutrient Qi and Wei-Defensive Qi are decided by their locations of distribution, forming components and relative functions. Qi in Zangfu organs is transformed from essence of Zangfu organs, formed by transformation of qi in the whole body upon different proportion of components into the different locations. Therefore, it possesses the relatively special motion tendency and functions.
