Abstract
Existential anxiety is human being’s subjective experience when faced with the existential plight.The essay attempts to survey the psychological structure of existential anxiety with the self-developed Existential Anxiety Scale.The results shows that(1) college students’ existential anxiety is considered in four dimensions involving death and fate anxiety,meaninglessness and empty anxiety,condemn and guilty anxiety,separateness and loneliness anxiety,which confirms Bugental’s theory;(2) The college students’ existential anxiety scale includes 27 items and 4 subscales with acceptable validity and reliability.
