Study on the Germination Terms of Seeds of Dioscorea zingiberensis and its Explant Callus Culture

Abstract

The germination terms of Dioscorea zingiberensis seeds on MS medium,and conducted its explants such as stem,leaf and leafstalk from tube young plants were studied. The result showed: (1)Under 25℃,the seeds treated by asepsis water had the highest germination rate on MS +gibberillin 6mg/L medium;(2)MS + 2,4-D 4mg/L medium was very perfect for the callus abduction,on which the callus abduction rates of stem,leaf and leafstalk was separately 100%,40%,20%.
