Abstract

In this paper, a new kind of treatment process used to treat pharmaceutical wastewater is described in detail, and the optimal scheme to treat pharmaceutical wastewater is also determined. Firstly the wastewater is cooled and crystallized in order to deposit salt, and the removal efficiency of salt is about 70%. Secondly, the wastewater was oxygenated by Fenton reagent. As the result, the removal efficiency of TOC is about 60% and the value of BOD/COD is about 0.6. Finally, the wastewater is biochemically treated by activated sludge process, and the parameter of effluent can meet the Government Discharging Standard.
