Abstract
A series of experimental researches on the deformation character were made for 20 undisturbed saturated samples of silty clay from a deep foundation pit in Qingdao at K0 state with no drain. The stress-strain curves are tested aiming at finding out equations of elastic modulus in unloading condition of silty clay. The result shows that the stress-strain curve in unloading condition is a hyperbola similar to the routine one of three-axis compression tests while the equation of elastic modulus is different from each other.
