Application of SCL in remote substation configuration management

Abstract

SCL(Substation Configuration Language) is recommended by IEC 61850 specially for substation configuration. Cooperated with the models of IEC 61850,the device configuration can be described clearly and conveniently and the information shared among different devices. Using SCL,system collects the configuration information of devices by different manufacturers and configures them remotely,which simplifies system upgrading and intelligent electronic device control.
