Historical Changes of Ancient Lijiang Town Based on Remote Sensing Images

Abstract

Due to geographical and historical reasons,the process of urbanization in Lijiang was slow until 1990s,so ancient Lijiang town could be completely preserved.Tourism has become primary industry after old town was recognized as the world culture heritage.The large scale city construction has modernized ancient Lijiang town in recent years.The roads and downtown area information of Lijiang city in different periods based on multi-time remote sensing images are acquired in this paper to analyze influence of its development and urbanization on world culture heritage.
