Abstract
Water crisis is one of the most serious problems that Beijing faces. Wastewater reuse is regarded as an effective way to alleviate the crisis. Reclaimed wastewater can be used in different ways, such as irrigation, river supply, industrial use, municipal use, groundwater recharge. The paper reviews foreign countries' experiences on wastewater reclamation and reuse, and the current status of the wastewater treatment and reuse in Beijing. Based on that, some problems on wastewater reuse in Beijing are analyzed. Finally, several suggestions are given.
