Effects of bagging on fruit quality of Psidium guajava

The effects of bagging on fruit quality of 慩inshiji?guava(Psidium guajava)were studied. The results showed that bagging could accelerated growth of fruits and increased fruit size and weight markedly. Transparent bag and red bag had no effects on TSS (total soluble solids) and bagging with black bag decreased the TSS in fruit. Treated with bagging, the plant diseases and insect pests decreased, the fruit coat became smooth and fruit color were improved.
