Clinical observation of cetirizine hydrochloride combined with ranitidine in treatment of chronic urticaria

Abstract

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of cetirizine hydrochloride combined with ranitidine in the treatment of chronic urticaria. Methods:68 cases were divided into two groups. The patients in the study group were prescribed with cetirizine hydrochloride and ranitidine. The patients in the control group were prescribed with cetirizine hydrochloride.After four weeks of treatment,the effective rate was compared. Results:The total effective rate of the therapy group was 88.89%,and the control group was 68.75%,there was no significant difference between the two groups (χ2=4.20,P0.05). The adverse reactions were slight. Conclusion:Cetirizine hydrochloride combined with ranitidine is an effective and safe method in the treatment of chronic urticaria.
