Clinical Application of Memory-Alloyed Patella Claw Combined with Steel Wire Cerclage in Treatment of Comminute Fracture of Patella Inferior Pole

Objectives To discuss therapeutic effect on comminute fracture of patella inferior pole by memory-alloyed patella claw combined with steel wire cerclage. Methods The clinical treatment and effect of 46 cases on comminute fracture of patella inferior pole by memory-alloyed patella claw combined with steel wire cerclage from January 2007 to March 2012 were reviewed and analyzed. Results All fractures were healed after 1 to 4 years' follow-up,with healing time from 3 to 6months and 95. 6% recovery rate of knee joint function. No complications such as infection of incisional wound,reject reaction,or rupture and casting off occurred. Conclusions It is good for treatment of comminute fracture of patella inferior pole by memory-alloyed patella claw combined with steel wire cerclage which can early start functional training of knee joint,accelerate fracture healing and recover knee joint function,thus worth clinical proposing and adopting.
