Abstract

Effect of two different biopesticides against Chaphalorocis medinalis in organic rice was studied. The results showed that the application of 1 500mL/hm2 of 0.3% azadirachtin EC revealed a good preventive effects against Cnaphalocrocis Medinalis in organic rice farming at the peak of 1st and 2nd larvae age.The insecticide rate and leaves retaining rate reached some 89.9% and 85.8%respectively.The application of 500 x BT emulsion also showed a good preventive efficiency against Cnaphalocrocis Medinalis and corresponding insecticide rate and leaves retaining rate were 83.9% and 83.1%.Further,both of these two biopesticides imposed no phytotoxicity and on the contrary dramatically but also increased the unit output. It is concluded that both of these two biopesticides could be an optimal option for preventing the outbreak of Cnaphalocrocis Medinalis in organic rice farming.
