The abnormal expression of tumor necrosis factor-α in the adipose tissue of obesity

Abstract

Objective: To observe the expression level of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in adipose tissue of obesity and to observe the relation of TNF-α and obesity.Methods:Cases with body mass index(BMI) 25 kg/m2 and BMI25 kg/m2 were divided into experiment group and control group respectively.The expression of TNF-α in adipose tissue was tested with enzyme-linked immune sorbent assay(ELISA).Results:TNF-α level of adipose tissue in obesity group is higher than that in control group(43.07± 12.04 vs 23.12±9.10 pg/mg adipose tissue,P0.01), and there's a strong positive correlation between the expression of TNF-α and BMI.Conclusion: TNF-α is related to obesity, and expresses higher in adipose tissue of obesity.
