Abstract

The purpose of this experiment was to study the effects of different levels and kinds of zinc diets on the immunity and activity of anti-oxidation enzyme in serum of weanling stress piglets.Forty Duroc×landrace×Yorkshire crossbred weanling piglets(21 d of age)were randomly divided into 4 groups of 10 piglets each by weight and sex, which were fed a basal diet with 100 or 3 000 mg/kg zinc(from ZnO),and 100 or 300 mg/kg zinc(from Zn-Met),respectively.The trial lasted for 49 days, including preset period for 7 days and test period for 42 days. The results showed that:index of spleen and thymus in each group had no significant effects(P0.05);lymphocyte transformation rate in groups Ⅱand Ⅲ was significantly increased compared with this group Ⅰ(P0.01) on the 14 th day of the experiment;the valence of CSFV antibody in groups Ⅱand Ⅳwas significantly increased compared with this group Ⅰ(P0.01) in total days of the experiment;serum activity of anti-oxidation enzyme(Cu/Zn-SOD,CAT,GST-PX) in groupsⅡand Ⅳ was increased compared with those in other groups, but serum MDA content was reduced. The obvious effect was observed on the 14 th and 28 th day of the experiment. It is confirmed that the high-level zinc diets could increase immunity and activity of anti-oxidation enzyme of weanling piglets with weanling stress.
