Abstract

The number and distribution of jinshi in China reflects not only a region's level of development of economy,education,and culture but also the style of writing and the habits of scholars.As a province in the northwest,the level of education and literacy was relatively low.Through research,we know that there were in Qing-Dynasty Gansu 332 jinshi whose distribution was not only related to the development of social development of Gansu but also the development of Qing society.
