Abstract
The burning rates of aluminum-free NEPE propellant with low burning rate were measured by the underwater acoustic emission method,and the effect of types of plasticizer,the relative content of HMX and AP,and the granularity graduation of AP and burning rate inhibitor on the combustion property of aluminum-free NEPE propellant with low burning rate was studied.The results show that through choosing an appropriate kind of plasticizer,adjusting the granularity graduation of AP and the relative content of HMX and AP and selecting a type of effective burning rate inhibitor,the static burning rate of propellant based formula can decline to 4.0-5.5mm/s at3.5MPa,and the pressure exponent can reduce to 0.3or even lower over the range of 2-5MPa.The lower the generating rate of NO2 or the percentage of NO2,the smaller the burning rate of propellant,conversely,the higher,when the NEPE propellant is combusted.
