Abstract

The method of undetermined coefficients is the general method of solving a linear differential equation with constant coefficients of the second order. But how can we solve the differential equation with variable coefficient and the differential equation whose inhomogeneous term doesn't belong to the basic form. The paper introduces three types of unconventional method, and explains the application of them by examples.
