Introduction of A New Winter Wheat Variety,Lunkang 6

The new winter wheat variety,Lunkang 6 is bred by Crop Sciences Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences,using Taigu nuclear-inherited male sterile line as female parent and Jingzhong 25,Kangbing 183 et al.as male parent,by hybridization,backcrossing,recurrent selection and pedigree method,with spindle-shaped and long awn spike,red and cutin seed.It is introduced by Xijie Seed Control Station from Seed Company of Xifeng city,Gansu.The average yield in eco-regional test is 5 371.5 kg/hm~2,and 9.5% higher than Zhongyin 6 in mountainous areas of south Ningxia.The plant height is 82～95 cm.The weight for 1 000-seed is 40.8～56.2 g.Lunkang 6 is resistant to drought,diseases,cold damage,droop and lodging.It is a middle-late-maturing winter wheat variety with growth duration of 279 d.The suitable growth region is in mountainous areas of south Ningxia and in other similar irrigated areas.
