Abstract

Objective:To study the removal function of exfract from Evodia rutaecarpa(Juss.)on hydroxyl radical(·OH)and Superoxide anion radical(·O-2).Methods:Kreaction of ferrous sulfate and hydrogen peroxide was used to generate·OH,with the pyrogallol autoxidation method producing ·O-2.The removing ability of n-butanol extract-1,n-butanol extract-2 and ether extract was determined by spectrophotometry.Results:IC50 of scavenging ·OH for these three kinds of extracts and VC were 145.0,141.0,335.0,2.3μg·mL-1 respectively;but the ability of removing ·O-2 of n-butanol extract-1 could not be determined,IC50 of the rest three were 270.0,0.185 and 0.057 5μg·mL-1 respectively. Conclusion:Three extracts from Evodia rutaecarpa(Juss.)Benth.have some anti-oxidation,and showed dose-effect relationship. The ability of removing ·O-2 for liposolubles was very remarkable, and it had similar ability with that of Vc.
