Expression of miRNA-191 in gastric carcinoma

Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of miRNA-191 in gastric carcinoma tissues.Methods The expression of miRNA-191 in both gastric carcinoma and their adjacent non-tumour tissues was quantified with SYBR Green Ⅰ based qRT-PCR according to the formula of 2-ΔΔCT.The protential target genes of miRNA-191 were predicted by using MiRanda,TargetScan and PicTar.Results The expression of miRNA-191 was significantly up-regulated in gastric carcinoma tissues than their adjacent non-tumour tissues(P0.05).There was no significant correlation between miRNA-191 expression and clinicopathologic parameters,including age,gender,histological type,lymph node metastasis and clinical stage.Nine predicted target genes,including NDST1 and SOX4,had been confirmed as direct targets of miRNA-191.Conclusion Over-expression of miRNA-191 in gastric carcinoma is correlated with pathogenesis of gastric carcinoma.
